@YOUNGBUCK ARTIST OF THE WEEKEND """ YOUNG BUCK"""""""
Around the age of twelve, Brown began rapping because he was inspired by a Miami friend named Clay Cole. Jealous of his friend's talent, he wanted to beat him no matter what he had to give up. At the same time Clay Cole moved to Tallahassee, Fla., Brown began recording in a real studio. Shortly thereafter, he was given an opportunity to perform for Brian "Baby" Williams, co-founder of Cash Money Records. After several years on and off of Cash Money Records, Brown and fellow rapper Juvenile decided to leave the label for good in 2000[2] and go to UTP Records, where Brown stayed until 2003.[3] One of his early appearances was on the song "Memphis," where he was featured along with Three 6 Mafia, Project Pat, and other southern rappers. His deal with UTP later led to a meeting with New York rapper 50 Cent, who later signed him to G-Unit Records, under Interscope Records.
Before his journey into the music industry Young Buck was a known hustler/drug dealer in his hometown of Nashville, Tennessee. His choices nearly cost him his life. While sleeping in his house one night in ____, armed robbers smashed their way inside. During the ensuing gun battle Young Buck was hit several times, but, instead of making his way to the hospital, the rapper and an armed associate drove around the streets searching for the assailants. The track 'Till I'm Dead and Gone' is a narrative from Young Buck on the incident.

RESPECT MY DJ OF THE WEEK DJUNK FOLLOW UNK @DJUNK3000
Atlanta native, Anthony Platt (born March 28, 1982), commonly known as DJ Unk caught the attention of Big Oomp of Big Oomp Records. Oomp says he was as impressed by Unk’s drive as he was by his talent. “It was his work ethic,” says Oomp. DJ Unk officially entered the music industry in 2006 with his hit single “Walk It Out”, that continues to spin through airwaves everywhere. Under the wing of Atlanta’s underground impresario, Big Oomp, he turned the local ATL artist into a national artist. Enjoying rotation on MTV2 and BET as well as some radio outlets around the country, the Big Oomp and Dj Unk duo was genius. Known in Atlanta, GA as DJ Unk, Anthony Platt began spinning records in 1998.
There he crossed the paths of DJ Jelly and DJ Montay and later joined their DJ entourage, The Southern Style DJs, performing for high school parties, proms, pep rallies and other events around the state of Georgia. DJ Unk became a regular in Atlanta’s mixture circuit, appearing on his own as well as on other DJ’s material. After his first hit record and a guest spot on “On Top of Our Game” by Dem Franchize Boyz, he pushed for his debut album, “Beat’n Down Yo Block” which was released in October 2006 on Big Oomp Records and distributed via Koch Entertainment. Since the success of his first hit “Walk It Out”, DJ Unk’s single has been featured on video games such as NBA 2K9, and on movies such as Norbit and Stomp the Yard. After his debut with “Walk It Out” and follow up single “2 Step”, DJ Unk walked away from the music scene to dedicate his time as a father and a loyal husband to his wife.
Today, with his newly signed manager, Robert Thorn, DJ Unk has a supportive campaign in the works for a rebirth in 2012, in which his material will continue its well known commercial. DJ Unk’s label, Itsago Inc’s distribution deal with Executive Music Group (EMG) and Fontana Distribution has DJ Unk looking forward to his release’s in 2012.
